A Topology Optimization Based Design of Space Radiator for Focal Plane Assemblies

In this paper, to improve the heat dissipation efficiency of a radiator for focal plane assemblies, topology optimization method is introduced into design process. For realization optimization, an objective maximal thermal stiffness concerning formulated. The performed under same mass constraint 2.05 kg as initial design. To manufacturability result, inverse conducted reconstruct new model. transient simulation, average temperature on assemblies with reconstructed 8.626 °C, while 9.793 °C. Compared design, decrease 1.167 °C achieved. As proposed improved compared it meaningful in future applications.
